Built this one around a hexagonal outer border rather than the usual circular edge and I think it makes it look genuinely different from most mandala designs out there. The 6-sided frame is made of straight runs and pointed tips, very angular at the border, but inside it the fills are all botanical, small trefoil leaf clusters sit at each corner of the hex and floral motifs fill the interior layers. Its that contrast between the hard outer geometry and the softer botanical insides that gives it character.
Single colour, a strong bright green. All the depth comes from the density and layering of the underlay rather than thread swapping. Stitch count goes from 15,295 at 3.5 inches up to 34,074 at 7.5 inches. Density is 659, which is on the higher end for a single-colour piece. Run a layer of cutaway stabiliser behind it, the underlay work needs a non-stretch base to sit properly. Pop a topping on top if youre stitching onto terry or any textured surface, it'll keep the satin columns from sinking in.
Customers ordered this for botanical home decor and I can see why. Ive had it stitched on sage green canvas and white linen, both look great, the sage version has a tonal textured look and the white version is high contrast and graphic. My daughter asked me to put this on a canvas storage bag for her bedroom last spring and it turned out really well at the 6 inch size. Try it on natural cotton or oatmeal linen if you want that botanical magazine look.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
