Dm me if you can count all the hearts in this because I genuinely cant settle on a number. Every heart in the wreath has its own style, no two the same. Theres a crosshatched red one, a thick black satin one, a pink one with white dots inside, a scribbly outline-only one, one with a little crown on top, one done in a looping script line, a couple with arrows through them. Thats the whole point of it.

Three colours: red, pink and black. Wilcom ran different fill and outline techniques for each heart depending on its style, so some hearts carry dense satin, some loose running stitch, some open outline. Tiny daisy shapes sit between some of the hearts like little spacers, just a few petals and a centre dot in black. The whole wreath shape comes from how the hearts circle around, theres no actual vine or branch underneath them, its all just hearts.

Valentines day is the obvious time but this works year round honestly. Ive had it ordered in june for anniversary gifts and in september for back-to-school teacher presents. One customer stitched the 7-inch file onto the front of a white tote and gave it to her mum with a bunch of flowers tucked inside and honestly Thats a pretty good gift idea. The design is open enough that it doesnt feel overly seasonal on its own.

Works best on light fabric where the red and pink read clearly. White, ivory, pale blush, cream, all good. Skip dark fabric unless youre using bright thread replacements. Density is actually quite low at around 17k on the biggest size so it stitches fast and sits well even on thinner quilting cotton. Use a tear-away stabiliser on woven fabrics, light cutaway on any stretch. Pick whichever of the 5 sizes fits your hoop, no need for multiple hoopings on most machines.
