Heres the hand holding a feather and its all line work. The hand sits at the bottom, fingers curled in soft, the thumb and index pinching the quill of a long slim feather that points up and slightly left. Real boho gallery vibe.
The line work is what does the job. Black ink contours run thin through the hand and the feather barbs. Soft sky blue fills the palm and a couple feather sections to give it a hint of dimension. No heavy fill. Just line and a wash of pale blue. Two colours total, 3.5k stitches on smallest, 8.8k on largest.
I drew this last march thinking of my niece, she wanted somethin minimalist for her dorm wall hoop. She asked for a feather but didnt want anything dreamcatcher-y or boho-cliche. Sent her the test stitch on cream linen and she sent message back saying it was perfect, she ordered the medium size for a friend the next week.
Stitch on cream linen, white cotton, oat canvas or pale grey for cleanest read. The thin line work disappears on dark or busy fabric so skip those. Pop the small size on cardstock fabric or paper if youre doing a wedding invitation overlay, line art holds up fine on stiff backing.
Density runs light, this is a simple line-art piece. Use a tear-away stabiliser on woven cotton, the thin lines wont need anything heavier. Hoop tight and slow the machine on the quill detail, the barbs need clean angle changes to read. Send my way through the website chatbox if your test fails.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
