Ive been making kitchen and home quote designs for a few years and this coffee one fills a gap I kept noticing -- I finished the last size test back in october and it went straight into the shop -- people wanted something that worked on both tea towels and tote bags without looking too cluttered or too minimal. The cup illustration sits alongside the text and the whole design is kept to 2 colours so its easy to customise for different kitchen colour schemes. Brown and cream is the obvious call but Ive seen customers stitch it in navy and white for a cleaner modern look and it works really well that way aswell.
Nine sizes, smallest at 2.73 inches wide and largest at 5.85 inches across and 7.51 inches tall -- thats a big range and covers everything from a small pouch logo up to a full kitchen apron chest panel. Stitch count runs from 11,291 at the small end up to 24,877 on the largest. Density is 566 which is on the lighter side for a design this detailed, and that was intentional -- kitchen textiles get washed alot and a lower density means the stitches stay put longer without the fabric pulling. Use a good cutaway stabiliser or a firm tearaway on woven linen or cotton.
Best on natural fabrics -- linen, cotton canvas, cotton twill. The lettering detail needs a clean weave so avoid towelling or fleece unless ya use a topping film to hold the thread up above the pile. My customers love this on aprons and tea towels the most, theres something about coffee quote designs on kitchen textiles that just sells consistently at craft markets. Stitch on cream, oatmeal or white base fabrics for the warmest look, and use a single stabiliser with the grain of the linen running straight so the lettering sits level.
