This is the heart dandelion, and its smaller than you think until you see it stitched. The seedhead sits at the top, a round burst of tiny filled hearts fanning out in every direction on long thin radiating stems. Red, black, and hot pink mix through the burst so no two adjacent shapes are the same shade. The stem below is a single red satin line running straight down. Minimal. Very graphic. Suprised by how much personality the 3-colour mix gives what is basically just a circle of hearts.
3 colours, 2 colour changes. Red runs 5,085 stitches, Black runs 960, and that magenta-pink shade (R255 G1 B170) runs 1,076. Total across 4 sizes goes from 7,123 at the 4-inch up to 12,972 at the 7-inch. The stem section is a satin column and each filled shape is a tiny applique-style heart, so bobbin tension matters, too loose and they look puffy, too tight and the red stem pulls. I usually run a test on a stabiliser scrap before committing to the final fabric. Florists keep ordering this for apron embroidery, and its one of those designs that layers well across a range of products. I get messages about it every February and also through the year from people building gift collections.
Works as a romantic piece but its aswell a solid botanical graphic that doesnt need a special occasion. Stitch it on white or cream fabric and the 3-colour mix stands out clearly. On pale pink fabric, swap the hot pink thread for a deeper rose so it doesnt blend in. Use tearaway stabiliser on smooth woven cotton, and if youre putting this on a knit tee use a cutaway instead so the stem line stays firm through washes. The narrow width, just 2.4 inches at 4 inch size, means you can pair it with text or stack multiples as a border pattern.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
