The concept here is simple and it works because of that: a tree shape where every leaf is actually a small heart. Stand back and you see a tree. Get close and you realise the whole canopy is packed with individual scarlet hearts. Short chocolate brown trunk at the base, clean negative space between the hearts so none of them merge together. One colour, 487 density, 1 thread change. Because its single-colour the whole thing stitches fast for what those stitch counts suggest.

Six sizes from 2.44 inches wide up to 7.31 inches wide, height going from 2.5 to 7.5 on the largest. Stitch counts run 8,601 on the smallest to 26,703 at the top. Wilcom EmbroideryStudio gave me the main challenge of keeping the individual heart shapes readable at the 2.44-inch size without the satin sections collapsing into one another -- the underlay sequencing handles that. Hoop on medium cutaway stabiliser. Add a light water-soluble topping on knit fabric so the heart fill sits proud. Avoid tearaway on linen -- it pulls the small heart shapes out of alignment.

This one gets used for weddings alot, typically on kraft canvas tote favour bags or the corner of a natural linen table runner. But I also see it used for valentines day pieces, anniversary hoop art, and mothers day gifts equally -- its one of those designs that isnt locked to one occasion. Stitch the 5-inch on a kraft tote with scarlet thread and it photographs brilliantly -- the red on that warm natural fabric is exactly right and youll see why as soon as its off the machine. One customer had it stitched on a set of linen napkins for a february wedding table -- the 3-inch version at the corner fitted without crowding the edge, and they told me its still the piece guests ask about most.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Wedding favour tote bags and pouchesThe 5-inch on a kraft canvas tote in scarlet is the classic wedding favour option -- the red on kraft is high contrast and photographs well.
  • Valentines day gifts and home decorStitch the 4-inch in a 5x5 hoop on white cotton for a valentines day wall piece that works beyond the holiday as general home decor.
  • Anniversary keepsake hoop artMount the 7-inch on white linen background for an anniversary gift hoop -- add initials and a date below in a simple block font.
  • Mothers day personalised giftsThe 3-inch version on a small muslin pouch or sachet makes a valentines or mothers day gift that feels handmade and intentional.
  • Bridal shower table linen accentsCorner of a natural linen tablecloth or table runner in 3-inch version repeated at each corner for a bridal shower table setup.
  • Corner accent on wedding napkins and runnersThe 2.5-inch in the lower corner of a white linen napkin is exactly the right scale -- doesnt crowd the edge, reads from the table.
  • Romantic bedroom decor pillowcase embroideryCentre of a plain white pillowcase in the 5-inch version with scarlet thread on white cotton is a bold romantic bedroom piece.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
