The layout here is vertical, which is what makes it different from the usual horizontal summer stuff. SUMMER stacks straight down the right side, each letter its own colour: hot pink S at the top, orange U, lime green first M, brighter green second M, yellow E, and red R at the bottom. On the left, "hello" runs in a long looping teal cursive script alongside the stack, all swoops and curls, almost like its dancing next to the rainbow column. Six colours total, 6 sizes available, smallest at 3,300 stitches and the biggest version hitting 9,122.

And the thing about this layout is it actually suits portrait-oriented items really well. Tote bags, drawstring gym bags, the front panel of a zip pouch, kitchen tea towels hung vertically on a hook. One customer ordered the 3 inch wide version last July on a set of white linen tea towels, she said her guests kept asking where she bought them. Its the kind of design that reads as something you found in a boutique shop, not something mass-produced.

Hoop with a light cutaway on knit fabric, the six colour changes are straightforward but get your hooping right first or the registration between the teal cursive and the satin column drifts. Tear-away works fine on woven cotton. Density is 371 stitches per square inch which is on the lighter end, so the fill sits flat without stiffening the garment. Stitch on white, cream, natural linen, sky blue or any pale solid and the rainbow stack really pops. Skip anything dark or busy, these colours are not built for contrast against strong backgrounds.

So colour order in your machine stops at hot pink first, then orange, lime green, bright green, yellow, red, and finally the teal script runs through as a continuous path so it stitches last. Keep the jumps trimmed between each letter and it comes out clean even on the smaller 3 inch size.
