Spring is when people reach for this one the most. Theres something about the season that puts people in a "count your blessings" kind of mood, and this design fits right into that. Youve got a row of tulips across the top, some orange, some golden yellow, some blush pink, all sitting on bright green stems with little pointed leaves. Below them, the phrase "I am happy grateful for my life" runs in a loose, handwritten cursive. Charcoal thread. Really pretty contrast against the orange and pink blooms, and its one of those combos that just works.
A buyer put this on her market apron last spring and said it got more comments than anything else she was wearing. I wasnt suprised honestly because the combo of florals and a word-art quote is just one of those things people stop and read. The design sits around 5 inches wide in the mid size, which is great for tote bags and aprons. Hoop it on a canvas tote and the satin-fill tulips pop nicely. Youll want cutaway stabiliser under any woven fabric, or topping on terry cloth to keep the cursive script crisp and readable.
Stitch density runs moderate on the tulip petals, directional fill in each petal so theyre dimensional rather than flat. The tatami underlay in the stems keeps the green even without bleedthrough on linen or cotton twill. Skip the pull-compensation adjustments on jersey though, its already digitised with enough density compensation built in. Pair it with a cream or white background fabric and the charcoal script really sings. Add a light topping on textured linen if youre finding the bobbin showing through on the back of the satin sections.
Give me a shout if the density fights your fabric.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
