Linen kitchen towels are where Im seeing this one land the most. Stitch the 5-inch centred on ivory cotton and the arched caps read clean from across the room. Real clean. The whole thing is outline satin all the way through, no tatami body fill anywhere, so theres almost no stabiliser bulk pressing against thin fabric. Use lightweight cutaway underneath and it lays flat after the first wash. A quilter who follows my shop sent me a photo last week of a whole wedding gift set she ran in charcoal thread on cream linen, looked gorgeous. The quote arches in a tight curve over the sunflower top in blocky uppercase caps, then "Be the Sunshine" drops below in a big loose calligraphy script with that long swooping underline, and the contrast between those two type styles is what makes it interesting.

Directional underlay on the petal outlines keeps the satin stitches crisp without bunching, even on jersey or linen. Pop a topping of water-soluble film if youre hooping terry cloth, the lettering comes out sharp and the seed dots in the disc stay clean. At 12,085 stitches the smallest size runs quick on a home machine. Hoop centred, match your bobbin thread to your top colour so it wont show through on lighter fabric. Skip the medium tearaway on linen and go cutaway instead, the directional satin petals sit better with that extra support underneath. The 4-inch drops onto a bib without crowding it, and the 6.69-inch version fills a canvas tote panel real nice.

Shoot me a message if the fill looks too heavy for your cloth.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Cotton kitchen tea towelThe 5-inch centred on ivory cotton reads clean across the room without crowding the towel edges.
  • Canvas zip pouchFits the 3.12-inch panel cleanly on a canvas zip pouch, room to spare around the zipper pull.
  • Natural linen tote bagA crafter ran the 6.69-inch onto natural linen last week and sold out her first craft fair batch.
  • Baby bibThe 4 inch drops onto a bib without crowding it, tearaway pulls clean from cotton terry.
  • Denim jacket backSatin outlines hold sharp on denim, hoop the back panel flat and the arched text sits level.
  • Canvas wall hoopA round cotton canvas hoop on the wall lets the arc composition breathe exactly as drawn.
  • Linen pillow coverCharcoal or navy linen pillow covers make the black outline pop, cutaway stabiliser gives clean results.

Behind every stitch

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
