This knitting gnome is honestly one of the most detailed character designs I've made. He's sitting there looking totally content with his big floppy hat, enormous fluffy beard, and a ball of colourful yarn right beside him with the needles still going. The beard alone has its own stitch direction to give it that soft fluffy look, its done with a feathery underlay and then a lighter fill on top.
Eighteen colour threads which sounds like alot but the colour sequence is logical and well-paced. Each section of his outfit reads clearly: the hat in one tone, sweater in another, the yarn ball in something warm and bright. Its the kind of stitch sequence that actually feels enjoyable to work through because you watch him come together piece by piece. One customer told me she suprised herself finishing it in one evening because she just kept going.
Four sizes only on this one, starting at 4.51 inches up to 7.51 inches wide. Stitch counts are heavy, from 30,000 at the smallest to nearly 56,000 at the largest. The density here is 1,094 so a firm cutaway stabiliser is non-negotiable. Slow your machine down especially on the beard and hat sections. Use cotton twill, denim or thick canvas for best results. Thin fabric will pucker.
Works well on autumn welcome signs, aprons, tote bags for knitters, and pillowcases. Text me a note if any thread colour in the sequence doesnt match what you expected, Ill clarify the exact shades used.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
