Mocked up this koala a few months back for a customer who wanted something for a baby shower that wasnt just another elephant or giraffe. The flower crown was my idea and I think it really makes it. Three chunky five-petal blooms across the top of the head, the koala face underneath with those huge round doe eyes and little rosy circles for cheeks. Its got that kawaii look without being over the top sickly sweet.
4 colours in total: light grey for the face and ear fill, medium grey on the shading and inner ear sections, hot pink on the flowers and cheek rounds, and solid black for all the outline work and eye detail. 3 colour changes, 56 trims. Density sits at 809 density runs about 809 stitches/sq inch and that's what gives the face that soft solid coverage without any fabric peek-through. Sizes go from 4.01 up to the 6-in build at 7.01 inches, stitch count from 14,211 to 25,402.
Use a medium to heavy cutaway stabiliser, the face fill density is high enough that a tearaway wont hold the underlay properly on baby knits. Add a layer of topping on waffle or fluffy fabric so the eye detail and flower petal outlines dont disappear into the pile. Stitch on smooth cotton or linen first if youre testing a new fabric, the fine satin outline reads clearest there.
I get alot of messages asking whether this works for nursery wall hoops and yes, linen in a 7-inch ring looks gorgeous. Last spring a customer sent photos of it on a white onesie gift set and it was honestly one of those where you wish you could post the photo everywhere. Message me if you need help with the file and Ill get back to you right away.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
