Wolf head thrown back, nose pointing straight up, mid-howl. The whole thing sits inside a circle about the size of your fist on the bigger sizes. Pine forest fills the background, just silhouettes of tall conifers fading into the distance, and above them theres a pale streaky sky done in horizontal satin runs. Really atmospheric, the kind of design where you can almost hear the sound. Honestly its one of those pieces you dont expect to love and then you stitch it out and youre hooked.
Four colours only. White, 2 shades of grey and black. Simple palette but the density does all the work, 29,459 stitches at the 3-in mark smallest going up to 87,930 stitches at 7.16 by 7.5 inches. Wilcom digitised the fur with directional stitching so each layer of the wolfs coat sits in a different angle, which gives it that inked illustration depth rather than looking like a flat grey blob. The underlay is tight and the satin columns on the outer circle border stay perfectly crisp, theres no wobble on the ring even at small sizes.
I sell a lotta wolf designs but this ones my top repeat buyer. People ordering 3 or 4 sizes at once for different apparel pieces. One customer last spring told me she stitched the big seven-inch on a charcoal fleece blanket and then the 4-inch on a matching tee and gave them together as a gift. She sent photos and the monochrome really reads well on the dark fabric, its exactly the kind of matched set I hadnt thought to suggest.
Best stitched on dark fabric. Charcoal, black, deep navy or forest green let the white and light grey tones pop forward. Avoid pale backgrounds here because ya lose the contrast and the whole atmosphere falls flat. Pop the medium size on a hoodie chest or the biggest on a fleece jacket back panel.
Density hits 1,637 per unit on the mid sizes so Back it with woven cutaway for beneath stretchy fabrics. On woven denim or canvas a tearaway works fine. Hoop it snug, the circular border needs clean tension all the way around or itll distort. Drop me a message if anything looks off once finished and Ill get it sorted.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
