Worked on the idea of making the text do all the structural work here. No tree outline drawn separately, the script letters themselves build the triangle. 'Merry' sits across the upper section, 'and' is a small ampersand connector in the middle, 'Bright' fills the lower half, and the whole thing tapers from a single star at the very top down to a wider base of curling loops and swirl flourishes. Small six-pointed stars scatter across the interior of the shape at irregular intervals so the negative space doesnt look empty.
The flourishes extending off the letters, especially the curled tails on the B and the t-crossbar swash, do a lot of the heavy lifting to fill out the edges of the tree silhouette. Up close its clearly script lettering. Stand back a metre or two and your brain reads it as a decorated tree instantly. That dual-read is what makes it work for a range of applications.
One colour, 5 sizes, widths from 3.51 to 7.51 inches, heights from 2.92 to 6.24. Stitch count is 9.4k at the small end up to 19k at the largest, so its a genuinely light and fast stitch, low density at 407. Great for production runs. A customer who does a winter market wrote me last november and said she batch-produces these on muslin pouches in an afternoon because the fast stitch time means turnover is quick. Thread the machine once, go.
Pair light blue thread on cream linen for a proper winter postcard look. White thread on dark navy reads as frosted. Gold on burgundy is rich and festive without the cliche. All work because theres only one thread to change. Stitch on woven cotton, linen, canvas, felt panels or the front of a plain zip pouch. Light cutaway stabiliser is fine given the low density. On stretchy fabric add a light tearaway layer under the cutaway for extra dimension hold during hooping.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
