The thing that stands out on this one is the holly leaves. They're not outline holly, they're fully filled with dark green satin going in one direction, then a second layer of black directional lines running across that give the leaves actual visual depth, like light hitting real holly on a wreath. The wreath ring sits full and heavy, with red berry clusters tucked in between the leaves and red snowflake accents scattered outside the ring. A wide red bow at the top ties it together and 'Merry Christmas' script floats in the open center, red fill with black outline edges.
Five sizes from just under 3.5 inches to 7.44 x 7.50 inches. At the largest, this is 52,746 stitches, so its a longer run, budget 45-60 minutes at a good machine speed. That density is what gives the leaves their rich look though, dont cut corners on slow speed for the dense satin sections. Pop firm cutaway underneath and run a thin solvy layer over fleece or terry so the directional lines on the holly stay sharp and dont sink into the pile.
One customer this past december stitched the 5-inch size onto a deep red wool felt christmas stocking and sent me a photo. The green on red was bolder than I expected, the holly really popped against that dark background. Id suggested white or cream but she knew better. Works on sweatshirt fronts, linen pillowcases, canvas totes, basically anything where a traditional circular wreath shape fits the project.
Stitch it on natural linen and the design feels almost Victorian, like a proper vintage christmas card translated to thread. Dm me if you need advice on stabiliser weight for a specific base fabric and Ill sort it out for you.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Christmas throw pillow covers on linen or cream cottonThe 7-inch size fills a pillow front beautifully on natural linen or cream cotton, the circular wreath shape works with any pillow shape.
- Holiday sweatshirts and festive jumpersThe 5-inch size sits centered on a sweatshirt chest, pop firm cutaway behind the knit and keep machine speed moderate through the dense holly sections.
- Christmas stockings on felt or fleeceDeep red or green felt stockings work especially well, the holly contrast pops on dark backgrounds more than youd expect.
- Holiday tote bags and market bagsCenter on a canvas tote front panel at the 5-inch size, bold and clear enough to read at a distance without any text needed.
- Christmas table centerpiece fabric panelsHoop a square of natural cotton canvas and stitch the large size for a framed centerpiece or table display panel.
- Festive kitchen aprons and oven mittsStitch the 3.5-inch size onto an apron bib or the front panel of an oven mitt for a quick festive kitchen gift.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
