This is one of those designs that gets an immediate reaction from the right person. Its a silhouette of a classic messy bun with a leopard print bow sitting on top, and Mom Life in bold stylised lettering below. Nothing about it is trying to be refined and thats the whole point. Moms who live in sweatshirts and have their hair up by eight in the morning think this one is hilarious in the best way. The leopard print detail on the bow is what really sells it.

No dimensions data is available for this listing so stitch counts will depend on your sizing. The leopard spots on the bow are small and detailed, so if you're running this at a smaller size test it first to see how much of the pattern definition carries through. Cutaway stabiliser on stretch fabrics like jersey or French terry is the safest bet because the bun silhouette and lettering need to stay in register. Tearaway works on stable wovens like canvas or denim. Hoop it tight.

Left chest on a hoodie or sweatshirt is the most common placement from what I've seen, but some customers do a bigger version on the back of a sweatshirt or across the chest at a wider scale. One customer ran it on a dark grey crewneck as a Mothers Day gift and said her sister immediately stole it. The leopard bow translates well in tan and black thread if you want to keep it two-color and simpler to stitch out.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Left chest hoodie embroideryLeft chest on a hoodie or sweatshirt is the natural home for this, the silhouette reads perfectly at that scale.
  • Sweatshirt back panel large designA larger version across the back of a sweatshirt is a bold choice that works well for moms who dont do subtle.
  • Mothers Day gift crewneckCrewneck sweatshirts in grey or black make this a really wearable Mothers Day gift rather than a shelf decoration.
  • Zip-up hoodie chest logoZip-up hoodies with this on the left chest panel give the leopard bow detail room to show its texture.
  • Dark tee front chestDark-colored tees let the lighter thread work stand out, especially if you run the bow in cream and tan.
  • Canvas tote bag centerCanvas tote bags in dark navy or black take this design really well for the mom who carries everything everywhere.
  • Funny mom gift sweatshirtMaking this on a gift sweatshirt for someone's sister or best friend is a very common use, always gets a laugh.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
