Cooked up this version as the stripped-back web in the set. Its just 4 radial threads and 3 ring connections, very open, lots of negative space. Looks more architectural than spooky, which is why ya see it used on non-halloween projects too, things like botanical totes and nature prints where people want a web shape but dont want the full halloween vibe.
4 sizes only, 3.5 to 6.5 inches, and stitch counts are the lowest in this collection, 1,583 to 2,731. Density at 65 stitches per square inch, its a real lil stitch-out. Even the biggest version runs fast. A lightweight tearaway stabiliser works fine on most wovens. Use a mesh wash stabiliser on anything you want to sit on top of, like canvas shoes or thick denim, where a sew-through stabiliser would be awkward.
I had a customer this past october who ordered a bunch of these in 3 different thread colours to layer on a wall hanging, white on cream linen with a darker outline web behind. She handled the colour choices herself from the single-colour file I sent. Works in monochrome really well because the open structure gives it a graphic quality, theres a lot of breathing room between the threads.
Avoid fabrics with pile or fuzz for the smaller sizes, the open gaps fill in and the lines disappear. Stick to smooth cotton, denim, canvas or stable jersey. Pop it anywhere you want a quiet spooky accent without going full halloween.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Halloween tshirt chest accentThe 3.5 inch version on a plain tee in a muted thread colour reads as understated rather than overtly seasonal.
- Nature themed tote bagsPeople also use this for botanical and nature themed totes where they want a web element without full halloween branding.
- Minimalist halloween home decorCentred on a cream or oatmeal linen pillow in a contrasting colour it makes a quiet autumn home accent.
- Costume cape corner detailA corner hit on a plain black costume cape at 3.5 inches adds detail without dominating the garment.
- Craft fair wall art piecesPrinted on a mount and sold as wall art at craft fairs this embroidery piece gets a lot of attention.
- Seasonal jute bag embellishmentStitched on a natural jute bag in black or dark brown thread it has a simple rustic appeal year round.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
