Back in april a customer told me she used it on nine matching onesies for a twins baby shower and recieved so many compliments she came back for the matching sun design. The moon face is what makes it work: eyes closed, kind of peaceful, which is exactly right for anything going near a babies room or a sleep-related gift. Four colours. Done.

Density is 97, which is notably higher than my usual. That crescent form needs a thick satin quality to look rich and warm rather than flat and papery. The underlay is set up with a heavier base layer so the fill satin sits on top with proper support. Use a cutaway stabiliser on any knit fabric, onesies, baby sleep sacks, stretchy bibs, theres really no good shortcut there. On woven cotton quilting fabric a firm tearaway handles it fine. Stitch the star elements first, then the moon, the sequencing in the file is set up that way to prevent underlay bulk-up at the overlapping edges.

Nine sizes from 3.5 to 7.5 inches wide, with stitch counts running from 1,649 at the smallest up to 35,111 at the full seven and a half. Thats a significant jump and youll want to plan your thread quantities for the big version. The four colours are easy to swap: go silver-white for a cooler nordic nursery vibe, or warm copper for a boho aesthetic. Both look great once the satin hits the fabric. Pop the 6-inch version on a corner of a cotton crib quilt and it reads beautifully at cot-side distance.

Text me if anything looks wrong in the file and Ill get it sorted for you.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Baby onesie chest centred motifNewborn onesie chest; cutaway under the knit, topping over it, because density 97 needs that full sandwich on stretch fabric.
  • Nursery quilt centrepiece blockQuilt centrepiece block for a moon-and-stars nursery theme; tearaway on quilting cotton, remove carefully to keep the fabric supple.
  • Baby shower gift tote bagCanvas tote for a baby shower where the celestial palette already matches the party colour scheme.
  • Sleep sack front panel decorationCotton sleep sack front panel, double cutaway underneath, the dense golden fill holds its shape through dozens of washes.
  • Nursery wall art hoop displayLinen in a wide natural wood hoop for a nursery wall decoration that stays up long after the baby grows out of the room.
  • Soft toy or stuffed pillow frontVelour stuffed pillow front; topping film first to stop the satin catching in the pile, slow the needle on the moon body fill.
  • Matching set baby bib embroideryCotton bib centre panel; the peaceful moon face is exactly the right energy for a gift that goes near a sleeping baby.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
