Classic halloween scene, a witch on a broomstick flying across a full moon, the whole thing rendered as a single solid silhouette. The moon is a filled circle and the witch cuts right through the centre of it, hat pointed, cape trailing behind, broom angled downward the way all halloween witch illustrations have looked since forever. Its the archetype and thats exactly why people keep ordering it, everyone knows what it is immediately.
Stitch count on this one is high. 15,934 at the smallest 3.51 inch size, up to 39,320 on the full 7.51 inch. Five sizes, digitised using Wilcom EmbroideryStudio, and the density on the moon fill section is 850 stitches per cm2 which is where most of the count comes from. Use a firm cutaway stabiliser, no exceptions on this one, the dense moon fill will pucker badly on any knit or jersey if the stabiliser doesnt hold. Cotton denim, canvas twill, or woven linen all work well.
I get orders for this halloween silhouette every year starting in september and they dont really slow down till november. Last october a customer made a set of 8 halloween tote bags for a school fundraiser using this design, she said it was the fastest selling item at the table. Stitch it in black on white or cream for the classic look, or white on black for a negative-space version that looks quite different and honestly just as good.
Hoop it centred and firm. The moon shape is nearly square in its proportions so a standard hoop placement works. Slow the stitch speed on the dense fill sections to around 600 stitches per minute.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
