Worked up this one after a bunch of customers wanted something abit more statement-y than a small chest design. The layout is side-by-side: the script stacks on the left and the sunflower sits on the right, full petals going out in layered satin bands. The density on this runs higher than most of my quote pieces, 706 stitches per inch, so the black lettering comes out with realy solid edges even on a textured knit. Ive done it on both cotton and a poly-cotton blend and both held perfectly.
2 colours, honey orange and black, 1 colour change. Five sizes from 4 inches wide up to 8 inches, stitch range 13,935 to 32,629. Use the wider sizes for canvas tote panels or a denim shirt back. I hooped the 8-inch on a 12-ounce canvas back in March and it sat perfectly flat, no puckering around the letters. One customer wrote me after hooping hers on a linen apron and said the JOY lettering caught her coworkers eye from across the kitchen, which I was realy suprised to hear. Pop it on a cream or white base to get the most out of the honey orange. Ping me if the file gives you any trouble after download.
The JOY letters use a heavier satin column than the script below so theres a nice visual weight contrast. Thats what makes the lettering readable from a distance. Stitch the 4-inch at chest placement on a linen shirt and save the 8-inch for a full tote panel. Skip very dark base fabrics unless youre swapping thread colours. Digitised in Wilcom EmbroideryStudio, Tajima format at source, and the stitch angles on each petal are individually set for proper directional sheen.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Full-back placement on a denim shirt or light jacketUse the 8-inch file on a denim back yoke with a medium cutaway; the contrast between orange and black reads perfectly on blue denim.
- Canvas tote bag front panel for spring and summer marketsHoop a 12oz natural canvas tote with tearaway topping and stitch the 7-inch version centered on the front panel.
- Large framed hoop art for a living room or hallway wallThe 6-inch file in a 8-inch linen hoop makes a statement wall piece; mount in a floating frame for a clean finish.
- Chest print-style placement on an oversized linen shirtCentre chest on an oversized linen shirt using the 5-inch file and a lightweight tearaway stabiliser.
- Cotton apron front for a kitchen or garden themed giftStitch the 6-inch on a waxed cotton apron bib for a gift-ready piece that looks handmade.
- Yoga mat bag side panel for a gym or wellness brandThe 5-inch version fits neatly on a 6-inch wide yoga bag panel; cutaway stabiliser recommended for canvas.
- Pillow cover for a sunflower-themed sofa or reading nookUse the 4-inch file on a standard throw pillow cover; honey orange looks great on cream or white linen.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
