The iris sections have moderate density so its stitches out smoother than it looks in the preview. That pupil shape runs as a solid satin column that goes fast and clean.

Use a cutaway stabiliser on knits and stretchy jersey because the radial satin lines will distort otherwise. On woven cotton or denim a medium tearaway works fine. Hoop tight, run at medium speed on the iris area. Youll want the base solid or the slit shape shifts out of register.
