And thats really what I like about this one. Its just the outline of a snowflake, nothing filled in, six arms each with those little branching side points, all drawn in one aqua thread and thats it. Theres no layering, no dense fill, no fuss.
The stitch count is genuinely low, under 1,300 stitches even at the largest 4 inch size, so it runs fast and sits flat on light fabrics without pulling. The lines are digitised with a narrow satin column so you get that clean raised look rather than a scratchy run-stitch outline. Last winter one customer ordered a batch of the 1 inch version for christmas cardigan collar projects at a school she was running, tiny snowflakes, fast to stitch.
Comes in 4 sizes, smallest is 1 inch which is tiny enough for jewellery pouches or corner details on napkins, largest is 4 inches which works well centred on a pocket or on the bib area of a kids top. Pop it on cotton, linen or fleece and it sits flat without fighting the fabric. Stitch the 1 inch version in a scattered repeat across a whole piece and you get a snowfall effect with minimal time per snowflake.
Grab a stabiliser with some body on knit or stretchy material so the outline stays crisp. Pick a lighter coloured fabric if you can since the outline only reads against a contrasting base. Holler if anything doesnt load right when you open the files.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Kids christmas cardigans and jumpersA 1 inch version on a cardigan collar gives a subtle winter touch without covering the whole garment.
- Holiday table napkin cornersStitched in one corner of a linen napkin it ties a whole holiday table setting together without being loud.
- Winter gift wrap pouchesThe small size on a muslin drawstring pouch makes a nice finishing detail for homemade gift wrap.
- Beanie and hat brim detailsOn the folded brim of a fleece beanie the 2 inch version sits cleanly without distorting the knit.
- Scarf fringe area patchesA row of small snowflakes stitched along the panel seam of a scarf adds a repeating winter pattern.
- Christmas stocking cuffsThe 4 inch version on a felt stocking cuff is wide enough to stand alone as the main decoration.
- Gift card envelope flapsTiny version on a kraft paper envelope flap or fabric card makes a lovely personal touch for gifts.
- Tea towel seasonal setsTwo or three sizes stitched randomly across a set of tea towels makes a charming seasonal kitchen set.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
