Two colors, 1 color change, and my friend's 4th of July cap came out looking like she bought it from an americana shop. Thats what this design does, the alternating black and crimson stars arranged in a circle ring give it enough movement that it dont look flat even with the simplest color setup possible. Bold, patriotic, exactly what youd want on a hat or an apron for an Independence Day cookout.
Run a layer of medium tearaway under your fabric before hooping. The stitch counts low, under 18,000 even at the largest size, so it stitches fast. Use a topping on caps and structured hats so the needle doesnt catch in the weave. The open center is intentional, leave it clear or add a monogram, a date like 1776, or a short word. If youre putting text inside, match the font weight to the star outline thickness or itll look out of place.
Stitch the 3.4 inch version onto a shirt pocket or a hat panel, it fits without hitting seams. Use the 7-inch version on a tote front or an apron bib where you want the stars to read from across the backyard. Only 1 color change in the whole design, so its about as machine-friendly as it gets for a holiday wreath.
Nine sizes, 3.41 inch up to 7.31 inch. Text me if anything looks off and ill check the file.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- 4th of July tote bags and picnic carriersThe bold two-color star ring reads clearly on red or navy fabric from across a picnic table.
- Baseball caps and trucker hats for Independence DayAt 3.4 inch the design fits a baseball cap panel without hitting the seams or the brim edge.
- Patriotic aprons for backyard BBQ and cookout seasonStitch on a canvas apron bib panel, the open center leaves room to add a BBQ slogan or family name.
- Monogrammed throw pillows with a name or year in the centerThe hollow center is sized to fit a standard 1 to 2 inch monogram letter inside cleanly.
- Red, white, and blue quilt blocks as a statement panelUse the 7-inch version on a quilt block, the circular shape tiles well without awkward gaps.
- Holiday table runners and cloth napkin setsRepeat the 3.4 inch version along a table runner at equal intervals for a fast patriotic holiday set.
- Shirt pockets and sleeve patches for Independence Day eventsSleeve patches on a denim jacket or canvas tote carry this design well, the graphic stays sharp on structured fabric.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
