The peeking deer head is a narrow vertical design and thats what makes it interesting to work with. The deer is peering straight at you over an imagined edge, just the top half of the face visible with the antlers rising tall above. Its slim and long, the antlers shoot up to 7.51 inches at the large sizes while the face width is only about 2.65 inches. So you get this elegant silhouette thats great for cuffs, hat bands and sleeve placements where wide designs just dont fit.
Seven colours in here: warm tan for the main face, cream for the chin and inner ear, darker brown for the shadow areas and muzzle, plus the antler shading and eye highlights. And the eyes are probably the part people notice first, big dark pupils with a tiny white reflection dot that gives the whole face life. Directional satin stitching on the fur follows the natural growth lines so it doesnt look flat.
I sell alot of these for hunter gift sets and woodland nursery projects. My niece asked me last christmas if I had a deer design for a nursery hoop she was making, and this was exactly what she needed for the tall narrow hoop she had. Seven colours aswell means theres alot going on for a relatively modest stitch count of 27,532.
Use a cutaway stabiliser on stretchy or knit fabrics since this vertical shape needs firm support along the length. Stitch on denim, cotton canvas, felt or a chunky linen. Pick the 1.24 inch version for hat embroidery or sleeve cuffs and step up to 2.65 for a full chest or hoop display.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Woodland nursery hoop artThe tall slim silhouette fits perfectly in a narrow 4 by 10 inch nursery hoop framed on a woodland-themed wall.
- Hunter gift personalised itemsPersonalised with a name on a canvas pouch it makes a thoughtful and unique gift for hunters each season.
- Hat and beanie embroideryThe 1.24 inch version fits cleanly on a hat bill or beanie cuff without crowding the available space.
- Christmas stocking toe panelsStitched along the bottom of a christmas stocking it adds a forest wildlife accent to holiday decor.
- Forest themed tote bag accentsOn a natural canvas tote the vertical deer shape sits well in the upper left corner as a subtle accent.
- Sleeve or cuff placement on jacketsOn a denim jacket cuff the narrow shape works with the sleeve silhouette rather than fighting against it.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
