Big full chrysanthemum bloom, petals layered so thick you cant really count em. The outer petals are a strong hot pink, and as they curl inward toward the centre they fade to a soft blush tone, then cream at the very heart. Kinda the same gradation you see on real mums in a garden centre in autumn. The stem and leaves are done in a deep teal blue-green that looks almost hand-painted next to the warmth of the pink petals.
Five colours sounds simple but the way they interact in this design is genuinely pretty. Wilcom digitised each petal layer as individual satin stitches running parallel from tip to base, so the directional stitching follows the curve of every single petal rather than just filling a blob. Stitch count climbs from 27,214 on the 3.5-inch up to 63,733 on the full 7.5-inch. The density sits at 1,259 which isnt ridiculous for a botanical this detailed, but its definitely not a quick five-minute run either.
One customer sent photos of this stitched on a sage linen tea towel last spring and it honestly looked like a proper Japanese woodblock print. I realy love seeing it on natural fibres. Hoop the linen with a tearaway underneath and a water-soluble topping on top to stop the stitches sinking into the weave. Dont use a needle thats too thick on linen or youll get snag holes in the loose weave.
Stitch dense areas first. Skip dark fabric backgrounds. Use a firm cutaway underneath.
Its the kind of botanical design that rewards the extra care you put into the setup. Ping me a chat if anything looks off when finished and Ill get it sorted same day.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Throw pillow front statement bloomThe 7-inch size fills a throw pillow front beautifully; hoop medium-weight linen with firm cutaway and stitch slowly through the 60,000-stitch range.
- Asian-inspired table napkin cornerThe 4-inch size suits a napkin corner; hoop woven linen with medium-firm cutaway and use a light water-soluble topping for crisp petal tip definition.
- Tote bag botanical centerpieceThe 5-inch size works centred on a canvas tote; hoop heavy-duty cutaway under canvas and maintain even bobbin tension through the dense centre disc.
- Jacket back large floral panelthe top 7-in size fills a jacket back panel; back firm denim or canvas with two layers of cutaway stabiliser and stitch at reduced speed throughout.
- Framed hoop art chrysanthemum portraitThe 6-inch size fills a standard hoop for framed art; back with firm cutaway on tight linen and stretch the fabric evenly before stitching.
- Linen tablecloth corner embroideryThe 4-inch size sits cleanly in a tablecloth corner; use medium-firm cutaway on woven linen and match thread colour to the tablecloth's accent palette.
- Cotton quilt square decorative blockThe 5-inch size works as a quilt square block; hoop with firm cutaway under quilting cotton and use a light topping to keep petal edges above the weave.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
