A repeating row of pink pencils, each one decorated with small white polka dots, runs across the design like a banner you'd see across the top of a kids school folder. The pencil bodies are hot pink with a yellow tip and a lil grey eraser nub at the top. Its a border layout so it sits wide rather than tall, 5 sizes going from 2.64 inches up to 6.17 inches wide, and the stitch counts are substantial, 10,980 at the smaller end and 32,964 at the largest. Thats a high count for a border shape, but the density is 763 and every pencil has its own polka dot detail which adds up fast.
4 colour changes through the run. Pop a sturdy cutaway stabiliser behind your base fabric before hooping because at density 763 the satin fills will pull on anything that moves. I wouldnt attempt this on a stretchy jersey without proper backing. Woven cotton or canvas tote bag fabric gives you the best result, the fills come out flat and the dots stay round instead of puckering. If youre going onto a terry towel or fleece, layer a water-soluble film on top to stop the pile from eating those dot details.
One customer last year was making birthday gifts for her toddlers whole daycare class and she ran this border across the bottom of 14 little canvas bags. She used the 5 inch size and said the pink held really well through washing, dont fade at all apparently. So I know the digitising on this colour is solid, Im always happy when I hear that.
Use the biggest 6.17 inch run across the front of a kids backpack for maximum impact. Stitch the small size along a shirt hem for a subtle trim. Add it to a pencil pouch or notebook cover for a teachers desk gift. Best paired with light coloured base fabrics so the hot pink reads bright. Any questions about sizing or stabiliser choice, send me a message and Ill get back to you same day.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
