The queen bee here sits centre stage with her wings spread wide and a small gold crown perched between her antennae. The body shows from above so you see the full yellow and black stripe pattern across the abdomen, plus the small round head and segmented thorax. Wings are done as cream lace fill which gives them this delicate see through feel against the bolder body.
Crown is the focal detail, three gold points with a small round bead on each tip, sitting like a tiara on top of the head. Beneath the bee theres a small wreath of pink and white five-petal flowers with olive green leaves, kinda framing the body without competing with the wings.
Honestly i didnt expect this design to do well but customers have been buying it alot for honey related gifts and beekeeper appreciation gear. One customer in october sent me a photo of it on her aunts beekeeper apron and said the lace wing fill came out beautiful. Seven colours total, runs cleanly with about 6 thread swaps on the bigger size.
Stitch counts go from about 11k on the 3.5 mini size up to 27k on the top 7.5 piece. Density runs a little high in the wing lace pattern at the bigger sizes, ill suggest a slightly heavier cutaway stabiliser to keep the fabric flat through the run.
Best fabric base is honey gold or cream cotton, the marigold body really sings against warm tones. Skip stark white because the cream wings get lost on it. Pop tearaway under woven aprons and canvas. Hoop tight, the cream lace lines need a stable base or theyll pucker. Works great on bee keeper themed merchandise.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
