A rainbow arch with hearts worked into it. Different from the rainbow-hearts-3 design which is a row of separate hearts. This one is the arched rainbow shape itself, stitched in four colour bands with small heart shapes sitting inside or above the arch. Four colours total, density at 486 per square inch, which is solid enough for clean satin bands but not so heavy that the fabric puckers on soft knit baby items.

Four sizes from 1.1 by 1.51 inch up to 3.29 by 4.51 inch. The design is taller than wide at every size, so it works well in a chest centre placement where it can sit upright and read clearly. Stitch counts go from 2148 at the smallest to 7217 at the largest, both of which are quick runs. The 1.1-inch smallest size is genuinely tiny, use a tight hoop and a sharp 70/10 needle to keep the satin bands from merging at that scale. Dont skip the cutaway stabiliser for baby items that go through repeated washing cycles. And its worth checking your bobbin thread colour too at that size since its visible at the edges of the hearts.

The colour sequence runs through the rainbow arc first then the hearts last, so if you want to match hearts to a specific thread colour you can swap that stop independently. Ive had customers run the whole thing in pastel pinks and mauves for a girl nursery look and it works just aswell as the full rainbow version. Pair it with a name or date below the design for a personalised birth gift set. Stitch a row of three across the front of a small onesie for a more detailed look when the single motif feels too sparse.

Last spring a customer used the 3.29-inch version on a set of nursery cushion covers in soft rainbow colours and emailed me a photo. It came out looking really warm and handmade, exactly what you want for that kind of room. Pick soft muted colours rather than bright saturated ones if youre going for a calm nursery palette.

Tight hooping on soft knit fabric with cutaway stabiliser keeps the arc clean and the hearts readable across all four sizes.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
