This little owl has absolutely lost control of its hair. The feathers shoot out from the top of the head in every colour imaginable, red and orange and yellow bleeding into green then blue then purple, all of em arching out in different directions like the bird just stuck its claw in a socket. Theres a little red polka-dot bow sitting right in the middle of it all, which honestly makes it funnier. The body itself is white and fluffy, done with proper directional stitching so the feathers on the chest look soft and layered instead of flat. Big cartoon eyes, tiny red beak, red claws at the bottom. Its kinda the most chaotic cute thing Ive digitised in a while.
At the largest hoop, the 7.9 inch version, this runs to about 51,000 stitches across 10 colour changes. Thats a fair bit of thread time but its worth it because the rainbow sections each get their own underlay pass which keeps the colour density sharp and stops the feathers bleeding into each other. Hoop with cutaway stabiliser on anything stretchy, tearaway works fine on stable wovens like cotton or denim. The white body section has a heavier satin fill so make sure your bobbin tension is set before you start.
A customer sent me a photo last october of this one stitched onto a kids backpack in black canvas, and honestly the rainbow pop against that dark background was wild. Works really well on navy, black or charcoal so the colours dont wash out. Ive also seen it on white fleece kids hoodies and the fluffy body stitching kind of blends with the fabric texture in a really nice way.
Pick the 4.86 inch size for a chest pocket placement or hat brim, and go for the full 7.9 inch if youre doing a back panel or tote bag centrepiece. Skip the middle sizes if youre working with a 4x4 hoop since its tight. Best results on cotton twill, denim or canvas where the 10 colour changes can sit nice and flat. Holler if anything needs adjusting and Ill get it sorted.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
