Realistic rose, full face view, with a heavy thorned stem below that takes up almost half the design. The petals layer from pale blush at the outer ring through mid-pink and deep red toward the rolled center, and black crosshatch linework sits over the whole thing in a style that reads tattoo flash rather than garden catalogue. Hoop it on dark fabric with a cutaway stabiliser and you'll see what I mean, the contrast on black is really different to what you get on white.
The stem is dark grey-green with thorns jutting out at hard angles, each one with its own shadow detail in a slightly different tone. Directional satin work on the thorn sections is what gives the depth. Seven thread colors, density around 1,338, and at the largest sizes the stitch count gets up near 71,000, thats serious coverage for a floral piece. Pop it on a 5-inch sleeve patch and its substantial.
Nine sizes. My customers have been ordering this for gothic-themed gifts and alternative fashion jackets last autumn, the thorn stem is whats versatile here. Skip light stretchy knits, the dense petal fill needs a firm hooped base to lay flat. Use at least a medium-weight tearaway on cotton, cutaway on anything with give. Great for dark denim too.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Gothic and alternative fashion -- jacket backs, sleeve patchesOn black or dark navy fabric the pale blush outer petals and black linework have real contrast.
- Tattoo-style apparel for streetwear and custom clothing brandsThe thorny stem makes it feel tougher than a standard floral -- fits alternative fashion branding well.
- Valentine's gifts on hoodies, pouches, and tote bagsDeep pink and crimson tones are already the colour language of valentines, so it sells itself.
- Dark academia and cottagecore home decor on pillows and wall hoopsThe tattoo-art rendering style works with dark academia and vintage home decor aesthetics.
- Floral accents on jeans back pockets and denim jacketsBack pocket placement on jeans at around 4 inches gives just enough detail without crowding the seams.
- Anniversary and romantic gift items on robes and keepsake pouchesStitch count at larger sizes is substantial, so it photographs with good texture for product listings.
- Florist and wedding vendor branded merchandiseFlorist gift packaging -- small pouches and wrapping accessories -- look great with a rose this detailed.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
