And thats the whole point of this one. A scribble chick drawn like a kid went at it with a fat yellow marker on a piece of paper. Round fluffy body, stubby little beak, two stick legs, dot eyes and a tiny pink blush on the cheeks. Nothing polished, nothing precise. Totally on purpose.
5 colours in the design: yellow for the body, orange for the beak and legs, a tiny bit of white on the wing area, black for the eye dots and a soft pink blush circle on each cheek. The outline work is done with satin stitching so those crayon-thick edges have a raised slightly ropey feel, which honestly makes it look even more like a hand drawn thing than a clean digitised design.
I made it last spring after getting alot of requests for something that would work on toddler gear without being too detailed or fussy. Kids stuff needs bold shapes and high contrast, not tiny satin fills that disappear at small sizes. This design holds up well even at 3.5 inches which is the smallest size in the set.
Comes in 5 sizes from 3.51 inches to 7.51 inches wide. Stitch count goes from 17,637 up to 36,513 so the larger sizes have a decent density. Back cotton jersey with cutaway stabiliser, dont skip that for knit fabrics or the legs'll wobble on wear. Tearaway works fine under woven cotton bibs or canvas totes. Youre going to want to use a stabiliser thats rated for the fabric weight you pick.
Pop it on a plain onesie, a little backpack, the front panel of a toddler tee. Pick a bright contrast fabric and the yellow really sings. Send me a quick note if you hit any issue on the file and ill get it sorted same day.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Baby onesie chest panelsThe 4 inch size centred on a plain white cotton onesie is one of the cleanest newborn gift options I do.
- Toddler tee frontsA bold yellow on a grey toddler tee hits that contrast sweet spot kids immediately notice and love.
- Kids backpack panelsStitched on the front flap of a small canvas backpack it makes a bag totally recognisable in a pile.
- Nursery wall hoop artHooped on a cream cotton linen round and framed it sits perfectly in a gender neutral nursery corner.
- Cotton bib accentsThe 3.5 inch version on a cotton bib is subtle enough for daily use but still makes the bib feel special.
- Easter basket tote bagsA 6 inch chick on the side of a canvas Easter basket tote makes a reusable bag that comes back every year.
- Childrens room pillow coversOn a white pillow cover in a kids room it pairs really well with a name or initial stitched underneath.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
