Flat out the simplest snowflake in the shop. Six arms, each arm has a small teardrop at the tip and a little spade shaped accent halfway up, all of it run as a clean outline with nothing filled in. The largest 4 inch version is still only about 1,000 stitches total. Its genuinely that light.
Its the kind of design that works because it doesnt try too hard. One customer ordered last november and came back saying she used the 1 inch version all over a pair of kids pyjama trousers in a scattered grid and it took no time at all because each snowflake stitches so fast at this density.
Stitch it on thin cotton, organza or lightweight linen without worrying about puckering since the density is only 61. Use a tearaway stabiliser for most wovens at this stitch weight, thats usually enough. Skip the dense cutaway you'd use for filled designs, the outline doesnt need it. Pop the 4 inch chest on a charcoal tea towel corner and it reads perfectly against the dark fabric.
Black thread works on any colour because the outline picks up against both light and dark backgrounds. Swap in white on navy, silver on grey, or any contrast you want. Text me if your download link isnt working and Ill sort it right away.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Repeat scattered patterns on pyjama fabricThe 1 inch version repeated in a loose grid across pyjama trouser fabric gives a scattered snowfall effect quickly.
- Thin organza and voile accentsOn organza or voile the ultra-low density means the fabric stays delicate without any puckering or pulling.
- Kids christmas shirt cuffsA row of small snowflakes along a shirt cuff is a subtle winter personalisation that holds up through washing.
- Heirloom handkerchief cornersIn the corner of a fine cotton handkerchief the 1 inch version adds a seasonal touch without overpowering the fabric.
- Canvas tote seasonal motifsThree or four sizes scattered across a plain canvas tote turns a plain bag into a winter accessory fast.
- Lightweight linen cocktail napkinsOn a thin linen cocktail napkin it stitches in seconds and reads elegantly against the fine weave.
- Fabric gift tag cutoutsCut a 1 inch snowflake from felt or stiff fabric and back it for a quick fabric gift tag alternative.
- Advent countdown calendar panelsSmall versions stitched on individual fabric pouches for an advent calendar give each day a coordinated finish.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
