Its a round little duckling, golden yellow all over, sitting between two curving green sprigs with tiny blush-pink rosebuds at the tips. The body fill is dense tatami stitching that gives it this almost fluffy texture, and the orange beak and webbed feet pop out in satin against all that yellow. Theres a little pink blush circle on the cheek and a white highlight dot on the black eye that makes the whole thing feel alive. Really charming design.
I digitised this one using pro digitising software, and the density sits around 568 stitches per 10mm which is solid without being too stiff on light fabrics like cotton interlock or terry cloth. The 4 inch fits the onesie chest without stiffening the stretch on the fabric. Use cutaway stabiliser under jersey or knit because the directional satin on the feet will pull otherwise. Hoop tight, dont rush the underlay, and the fills come out smooth.
A mum who runs a small handmade baby gifts stall last week messaged me saying she stitched the 5 inch onto cream linen and it came out cleaner than she expected. That made my day. Pair it with soft blue or sage background fabric so the golden body really sings. Skip topping on woven cotton, but add a layer of water-soluble topping if youre working on terry towelling so the satin details dont sink into the loops.

What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Baby onesieOnesies take the 3.5 inch on the chest, small enough it doesnt stiffen the stretch when baby moves.
- Burp clothBurp cloths in terry need water-soluble topping so those satin feet stay crisp.
- Nursery wall hoopThe 3.5 inch sits just right centred in a 6-inch hoop for a little wall display.
- Canvas toteCanvas totes in natural or sage show off the yellow duckling without fighting for attention.
- Kids baseball capCap fronts work best with the 3.5 inch and a firm cutaway behind the panel.
- Easter gift bagIron the gift bag flat first, then hoop with tearaway and it pulls out clean after.
- Cot blanket cornerCorner placement on a fleece blanket keeps the sprig detail visible and not buried in folds.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
