Stack of vintage books with a pink bow on top, the Stars Hollow aesthetic and collegiate prep-school New England energy are such a natural match for a badge format. Arching text above a central image with flanking numbers is exactly what youd see on an old connecticut souvenir patch. The three hardcover books are stacked and ribbon-tied, like someone wrapped them as a gift, which tracks for a town where the friday night dinner is practically a holiday.
Each book spine gets its own colour and its own texture treatment in the satin fill: teal, amber gold, cream ivory. The ribbon is rust orange to match the arched STARS HOLLOW lettering above, and it ties into a wide bow across the top of the stack. Below the books, Connecticut sits in a warm cursive script, and the numbers 17 and 79 flank the badge on either side, classic varsity badge style.
Eight colours, 18,547 to 41,827 stitches across nine sizes, 3.07 to 6.56 inches wide. Density is 849 so its a solid build, the book spine fills have good coverage on cotton twill or canvas. my main software digitised the ribbon bow with multiple directional satin runs so the overlap reads as three-dimensional rather than flat. Use a cutaway stabiliser for the larger sizes and hoop firm, especially on a tote or jacket back. Run the bow section at moderate speed so the satin columns dont pile up at the knot. Skip sheer or jersey fabric entirely, the density needs something with body.
One customer ordered the 5-inch version last november on a putty canvas tote for a friend who names her coffee order after Lorelai every time she walks into a cafe. She told me it was the most on-brand gift shes ever given anyone. Dm me if anything in the file needs adjusting and Ill sort it.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
