People dont realise how tricky flame designs are to digitise until they see a bad one. The issue is directional stitching, if the fill angles dont follow the natural upward flow of the fire the whole thing looks flat and wrong. I spent a good chunk of time back in november getting the directional fills on this one right, working outward from the base of each tongue and tapering the satin angles as they rise toward the tips. Two colours only: the main orange-red fill and a deeper red used for the inner shading and outline edges. Density is 650 which keeps it light and flexible on most fabrics.
Seven sizes, running from 2.81 inches wide at the smallest up to 5.23 inches wide and 6.51 inches tall on the largest. Stitch count goes from 8,980 up to 22,141, the bigger sizes have a lot more satin fill area and ya can really see the directional work in em. embroidery software was used and I tested all sizes on black cotton jersey because thats where this design lives.
Use a firm cutaway stabiliser on jersey or any stretch fabric. The flame tips are fine and pointed so dont rush the speed, slower machine through the narrow tip sections means cleaner satin columns without fraying. Avoid topping film on smooth cotton or polyester, it peels away cleanly but can sometimes disturb those fine tip points. Best colours to stitch on: black, charcoal, white or navy. Orange-red on a white or cream base pops great, darker base fabrics make it look more edgy and biker-style. I get messages all the time about this one from people doing custom biker jacket commissions, its one of my better sellers for that crowd. Dm me if ya suprised yourself with an issue or need a size outside the pack.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
