Three colours. Big stitch count. Bright warm yellow petals on this sunflower, deep chocolate brown centre, and a mid tan ring bridging the two. Its just 3 threads and yet the final piece has real depth because of the way the underlay and topping work together under that centre disc. I started selling this one for autumn kitchen projects last september and it hasnt stopped moving since.
Five sizes from 3.51 inches across to 7.51 inches wide, stitch count going from 20,582 up to 52,053. Density is around 985, which is on the higher side, meaning the petals have proper satin coverage and the centre is genuinely raised. Stabiliser choice matters: use tearaway on firm woven cotton or linen, cutaway under anything with stretch or knit weave. Pull the hoop taut before you start, a dense build at the centre needs solid tension. Stitch the 3.51 inch size on napkin corners or a pocket. Dont skip the topping on fleece or the high-density centre will sink in.
The petal digitising uses a radial satin that fans out from the centre point, so every petal catches the light at a slightly different angle and the whole bloom looks dimensional. Pop the 7.51 inch version on a fabric storage bin, a large canvas tote, or a cushion cover. Use the mid sizes on kitchen towels and repeat the motif across a set for a coordinated look. One customer told me they recieved requests from neighbours after displaying the cushion, which is genuinely the best kind of feedback. I sell a bunch of this one year-round and its consistently the busiest during the autumn run.
