A swirling trail of hearts drifting down the design in different sizes, connected by curving scroll lines. The largest hearts take a solid red fill, the medium ones run as pink outlines, and the vines tying em together come out in a warm tan or gold. Its 3 colours total and the combination feels a bit more romantic and grown-up than a regular scatter of hearts, something about the flow of the vines does that.
5 sizes from 3-in to 7.5across and 3.4 to 7.3 inches tall, stitch counts from 5,873 to 15,875. Low to medium count for the size which means it stitches faster than you'd expect. The scrollwork stitches first then hearts drop in on top, comma splice is built into how the colour order works, you just follow the thread change sequence.
I designed this for valentines day cushions and wall pieces and it sells well through february but I also get spring orders for it from people doing floral decor items. One customer told me she put it on a cream linen apron for her mum last mothers day and her mum thought it was a vintage piece. The trail format makes it feel less like a valentines design specifically and more like a general romantic botanical.
Use cutaway on knits and stretch cotton. Tearaway handles most woven canvas and linen without issue at these stitch densities. Avoid putting it on very dark navy or black unless you adjust the thread to a bright contrast, the vine detail gets swallowed otherwise.
Stitch it vertically on a tote bag side panel or centred on a cushion. That tall aspect ratio gives the design its energy so try not to crop it. Thats kinda the rule. Heres my pick, full length wins. Im a fan. Youll see.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Valentines day cushion coversCentred on a cream or white cushion cover the swirling trail reads as romantic home decor well beyond valentines.
- Wall art hoop piecesStitched in an embroidery hoop on cream linen and hung on a wall it makes a botanical-style love themed art piece.
- Tote bag side panel accentOn the side panel of a canvas tote the vertical orientation of the trail sits naturally without needing rotation.
- Mother's day linen apronsOn a linen apron as a spring gift for mum the vine and heart combination looks intentional and not too seasonal.
- Spring gift tea towelsAlong the lower edge of a tea towel the trail fills the hem area without looking repetitive the way a border would.
- Cotton canvas zip pouchesOn a zip pouch in cream canvas with the trail running diagonally it adds texture and movement to a small item.
- Bedroom decor pillow accentsMultiple cushion covers done for a valentines bedroom refresh, fast to produce and subtle enough to keep up all year.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
