The tropical beach scene is packed inside a heart shape, which sounds gimmicky but the composition is strong enough to fill it properly. Palm trees along the left and right edges, a sunset pushing warm coral and peach across the upper half, those waves at the bottom taking up a solid third of the space. The wave work is the most impressive bit, multiple blue tones layered up with black satin detail lines and white thread for the foam crests. Its got 10 colours and just over 1,000 stitches in each square inch which keeps the coverage tight.

The 5 sizes go up to 8.51 inches wide which is large enough for the full scene to read clearly on a tote or denim jacket back. Stitch the smaller 4.5-inch version on canvas pouches if youre after something quicker to run through. Anchor with cutaway on anything stretchy or knit because theres a lot of thread weight in the foreground wave section. Skip thin silky fabrics, they wont hold the wave fill flat.

Honestly this is one of my more popular summer designs. People have been buying it for beach tote bags and coastal home hoops since last summer and the demand doesnt really slow down. Pop it on a natural linen ground and the warm palette sings against the cream. Any questions about the file just send me a message.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Beach tote bags and canvas shopper bagsThe large sizes stitch well onto natural canvas tote bags, the heart shape sits centred without needing a frame.
  • Coastal home decor on cushion covers and wall hoopsMount in a 9 or 10 inch hoop on white or cream linen for a coastal wall piece that doesnt look tacky.
  • Summer holiday gifts for friends who love the oceanWrap it on a tea towel or pouch for a summer birthday or holiday thank-you gift.
  • Denim jackets and shirts for tropical or beach outfitsThe colour palette translates well onto dark denim, the light blues and corals pop against indigo.
  • Baby blankets and nursery items with a coastal themeSoft blue and peach tones work nicely for a gender-neutral nursery coastal theme on fleece or cotton.
  • Valentine gifts with a tropical twistHeart shape makes it an obvious valentine pick but the beach angle makes it feel less generic than roses.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
