The heart isnt filled in. Its just the outline, done in that loose double-stroke style where the lines run close together without merging, which gives it a hand-drawn feel rather than a machine-stamped one. The bottom of the heart splits into two crossing lines, almost like the pointed end got slightly pulled apart. Gives it that imperfect, sketched-from-memory quality.
Inside the heart sits the lettering. "Vet" runs diagonally in flowing script across the upper half, the kind of cursive with the big capital V and a small flourish. Below that "THEM" is set in a straight bold banner, like someone pinned a ribbon across the lower section. The two styles play off each other well, script up top and block below.
Then top-left, theres this cluster of small paw prints stacked vertically, maybe 6 or 7 of them, varying sizes, reads exactly like a little bouquet of paws instead of flowers. Its a weird idea that totally works. The whole composition feels personal, like it was made for someone specific, not designed by committee.
Single black thread, no colour changes, no stops mid-run. Stitch count sits at 5,573 on the smallest 3-inch size and 16,308 on the largest 8-inch version. Back with a stable woven cutaway when going on polo shirts or scrub tops so the line work stays crisp wash after wash. Use a tear-away on thicker canvas or denim. Skip stretchy jersey without proper stabilising or the outline lines bow outward.
I get repeat orders on this one from clinics buying 8 or 10 at a time for their whole team. Vet nurses especially seem to love it for scrub top pockets. Stick it on a work bag, an apron, a canvas pouch. Last month a groomer ordered the 5-inch size to go on the back panel of a salon apron and it looked spot on.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Veterinary clinic staff uniforms and scrub topsStitch on the chest pocket area of a scrub top and it reads clean and professional without being overly formal
- Personalised tote bags for vet nursesWorks nicely on a plain canvas tote bag that a vet nurse can use as a daily work bag
- Animal shelter volunteer aprons and jacketsEmbroider on the front of a canvas apron for shelter volunteers who want something personal on shift
- Pet groomer work shirts and tool pouchesGood fit for a groomer work shirt or the side of a small tool pouch hanging off an apron belt
- Gifts for veterinary students and new gradsMakes a solid graduation gift stitched onto a folded fleece blanket or a zip pouch for a new vet grad
- Pet-themed market stall aprons and wrapsPairs well on a market stall apron for anyone selling pet-related goods or handmade pet accessories
- Rescue foster carer tote bags and hoodiesFoster carers love this on a hoodie or tote, something low-key that shows the animal care side

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
