Stitched out this tree frog and the eye is what everyone talks about first. The species has those massive vivid red eyes, vertical black pupils, the whole classic stare that makes it famous in reptile photography. Iris built with concentric directional satin fills so the colour gradates from deep red at the outer edge toward the pupil, and it looks genuinely like a real eye when its hooped and done.
12 colours, density 948, and it really realy shows in the stitch result. Bright lime green body with darker green shadow sections on the skin folds, creamy white belly, orange-red flanks and toe pads. Those eye colours alone take up 3 separate colour changes. Stitch count is 26,438 on the smallest 4.17 inch size and reaches 49,460 on the 6.94 inch version. Big thread investment, but the payoff is a frog that looks alive on fabric. Youll want to see it before you believe me.
Use a cutaway stabiliser, no exceptions at this density. The fill sections are kinda heavy and the skin texture stitching is directional, meaning different areas pull in different directions, so stable backing is what keeps everything flat. Cotton canvas, heavy cotton twill and denim all work well. Avoid thin fabrics or light knit for the larger sizes. Dont skip the topping on any pile fabric or the fine detail stitches will sink.
I get a steady stream of frog fans ordering this one. One customer made a batch of tote bags for a herpetology society fundraiser last autumn and said the response was brilliant. Scientists and nature lovers are genuinely a market for detailed wildlife pieces like this. She told me people couldnt believe it wasnt printed.
Only 4 sizes available, 4.17 up to 6.94 inches wide, heights go up to 7.52 inches. Check your hoop fits the height before starting. Pop a stabiliser sheet under a test piece before committing to your best fabric. Stick with a slow speed on the skin sections, the high density benefits from a steady pace.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
