Chibi unicorn wearing a witch hat. That sentence covers it technically but doesnt really prepare you for how much is happening in this design. Body is a dark charcoal grey with that typical chibi body proportion, tiny legs, oversized head, one huge cartoon eye with lashes that take up most of the face. A gold horn sits centre-head. The mane and tail are long and flowing, purple and pink mixed together with a few highlights that give the hair movement. Big purple witch hat sits on top with a pink bow tied at the base and a small white skull charm on the brim.
Then theres the extras. A black cartoon bat perches to one side of the unicorn, round body and stubby wings, big round eyes. Up above the hat a curly-legged spider hangs down on a single web thread. None of these elements feel crowded because they each have clear negative space around them, but together they build a scene rather than just a character portrait. 11 colours in total. Deep purple hat, grey unicorn body, gold horn, hot pink mane sections, pale pink cheeks, cream highlights, blue and light grey for the eye, white for the skull detail and black outlines holding the lot together.
industry tools digitised this across 10 colour changes and 138 trims in the smallest size. Thats a thread-heavy run. The density at 980 means real body in every fill, the unicorn body in particular has good coverage even on darker base fabrics. At 24k stitches minimum this isnt a quick stitch so plan your time. One customer last october mentioned she ran the 5.66-inch size on a black sweatshirt and it took just over an hour but she said it was worth it because the colours completely popped against the dark background.
4 sizes, 3.39 to 5.66 inch wide, 4.5 to 7.5 inch tall. Pull the hoop tight over cutaway, no tearaway here. Run mid to slow speed especially through the spider web thread detail at the top, thats the narrowest element and the one most likely to skip if the fabric is loose. Pick a dark base fabric over light if you want the charcoal body fill to read properly. All 8 file formats included. Message if theres any issue with the file loading.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- girls halloween sweatshirt or hoodieStitch the 5.66-inch run on a black sweatshirt chest for a girls halloween outfit that leans fantasy more than spooky
- unicorn-themed halloween costume accessoryEmbroider the mid-size on a witch costume apron or cape panel to add personalisation to an otherwise plain store-bought costume
- halloween tote or trick-or-treat bagRun it on a black book tote for trick-or-treating, the multicolour design looks great on dark fabric with no base prep needed
- girls bedroom halloween pillow or cushionUse the largest hoop on a cushion cover for a girls bedroom that goes full halloween in october without a full redecorate
- birthday party shirt with a halloween crossover themeStitch the design on a birthday shirt for a girl with a halloween birthday who wants both unicorn and spooky energy at once
- canvas backpack or school bag patchMount the compact 3.39-inch file on a canvas school backpack panel as a permanent patch for a kid who is into both unicorns and halloween
- halloween photo prop banner or fabric signRun the widest version on natural cotton for a halloween photo backdrop fabric sign that photographs well with the multicolour thread

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
