Side profile of a woman with her natural afro filling most of the frame, curls in solid black with fine stray strands goin every which way at the edges. At the temple, three open lilies in warm orange-gold with amber shading at the centres and small teal buds tucked at the base. Face in warm mid-brown skin tones with fine line shading, a small red lip, a dangle earring. Theres a soft peachy-pink wash at the back of the neck area, like a studio light comin from the right.
Ten colors, 9 sizes. Stitch it on a firm stabiliser since the density on the afro fill is pretty high and you dont want fabric pullin. Pop it on a linen pillow at the large end and the lily petal detail is something else. At 4 inches and up the fine hair strands and the directional fill in the petals both come through clearly. Below 3.5 inches you start to loose some of the flower openings and the petals wont separate cleanly. Use a cutaway for stretchy bases, tearaway for woven.
People have been ordering this for mothers day and birthday season a lot lately. I had back-to-back sales last spring, mostly salon aprons and custom gifts for natural hair lovers.
What people are using this design for
A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.
- Natural hair brand tees, totes, and branded packaging insertsThe floral-afro combo feels on-brand for a natural hair product line or loc studio
- Salon and beauty aprons and uniformsThe portrait framing sits well on an apron bib, name or business text fits below
- Denim jackets, sleeve or back panelA back-panel placement at 7 inches shows off all ten colors properly
- Personalised birthday gifts for women who love their natural hairThe warm orange flowers and brown skin tones feel celebratory, not generic
- Linen pillow covers and cushion panelsThe peachy background wash and warm tones translate really nicely onto cream linen
- Framed embroidery hoop art for bedroom wallsIn a 7-inch wooden hoop this looks like proper decorative art on a shelf or wall
- Bookbags and canvas pouchesThe profile crop fits the narrow face of a canvas makeup pouch really naturally

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
