Side profile portrait, face turned downward, eyes closed with long defined lashes. Natural hair rises into a big rounded puff, stitched in near-black with lighter coil detail threads curling through the top so it doesnt read as a solid blob. A pink fabric headwrap ties at the front in a loose knot, the satin fill running diagonal to mimic actual fabric grain. Gold hoop earring at the ear, stitched in a warm yellow satin circle.
Seven colours and most of the work is in the skin. Warm honey-brown base fill, a deeper caramel shading layer through the cheek and jaw, a lighter tone across the forehead and nose bridge. Dark detail for the eyebrow arc and the defined lip line. The blending is done with directional fill angles rather than colour stops, which is what keeps it looking like a proper portrait rather than a flat graphic. Thats 7 colours doing the job of about fourteen in a print.
Density sits at 1,093 stitches per square inch and the big 5.11 by 7.51 size tops out at 41,941 stitches, so it stitches slowly. Use a medium-to-heavy cutaway stabiliser and hoop snugly. Stitch on black, navy, white, burgundy or warm charcoal fabric. The portrait holds its own on dark backgrounds, skin tones show clearly even on black denim. Avoid stretchy jersey on the big size, the skin gradient shifts when the fabric pulls sideways under the needle and youll end up with a wobbly portrait.
Smallest size is 2.39 by 3.51 inches, biggest is 5.11 by 7.51, portrait format all the way. People have been ordering this one for birthday gifts a lot this spring. One person ordered 3 of the 4-inch size for a set of matching pouches as a bridesmaid gift. Lob a message over if colour registration drifts between the skin layers and ill look at it with you.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
