The profile silhouette has alot of presence. The curly hair fills the top and right side in a big natural cloud and its done with dense looping satin stitches that actually give a sense of curl texture rather than just a flat filled shape. The face in profile has clean defined features, strong cheekbone line, a confident brow, and the shoulder and neck curve below give the whole thing an editorial fashion feel.
Five colours total. Deep brown or black for the hair, a warm medium brown covering the skin tone on the face and neck, a highlight or accent at the profile edge, and the fifth colour handles any clothing or background detail. Stitch count goes from about 14k at 3.19 inches up to almost 41k at 6.84 inches wide. Lay light cutaway any fabric since the dense hair section needs solid backing. And the underlay really matters here. Dont skip it or the curl fills will look thin.
Nine sizes between 3.19 and 6.84 inches. I get messages alot from customers asking if this works on dark fabric and yes, using a warm tan or gold thread on a black tee looks incredible. My customers who do custom apparel for natural hair events have told me this is one of their most reordered designs. A customer wrote me last month saying shes stitched it on over 30 tees since purchasing. So thats a good sign.
Best on cotton jersey, canvas, or denim. Pop a cutaway behind anything with stretch. Avoid very rough textures where the fine curl stitching will lose definition. Pick a lighter tone for the face section on darker fabric and it reads just aswell as on white.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
