The cobalt fill is solid and rich, the ivory satin highlight band runs diagonally across each wing like light catching a folded ribbon, and youre getting this real three-dimensional feel from it even though its flat stitching. Tail ends are clean with a slight angle. The centre knot is compact with a navy shadow underneath it, which is whats making it read as a proper tied ribbon rather than just two triangles. On white linen this thing doesnt look stitched, it looks pressed on.

Ten sizes from 2.07 to 6.21 inches wide, 10,850 stitches at the small end and 43,544 at the largest. I ran the colour sequencing through my software and got the density up to 935 for the satin bands, which is why theyre sitting smooth even on loosely woven linen. A customer asked last year could she use it on a set of white napkins for a formal dinner, she did the 3 inch size and send me a photo, the cobalt against the white linen was genuinely impressive. Couldnt have been a better match for the setting.

Medium cutaway stabiliser behind linen and cotton gives the best result. The satin highlight bands are long directional runs and they need a stable base or the thread pull distorts them. Hooped cutaway also helps with registration on the 4 colour sequence. Skip tear-away on anything with a loose weave, it wont hold under that stitch density and youll end up with lifting at the corners. Use topping on any textured surface.

Pick the 3-4 inch size for napkins and place settings. The 5-6 inch version works on tote fronts, clutch bag flaps, and jacket pockets. Pair it with matching table linen sets for a coordinated look at formal dinners or wedding receptions.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
