This ribbon bow runs entirely in outline, no fill inside the loops. The shape has two round loops at the top and those long curving tails swooping down below, the kind of bow you'd tie with satin ribbon on a wrapped box. The centre knot has little spoke lines radiating outward like a star. Really simple looking but the looping outline paths take some care to digitise properly so the thread direction makes the ribbon read as ribbon and not just curved lines.

One colour, hot pink, no thread changes. Just 4 trims across the whole design. Density sits at 251 which is light, so this stitches realy fast and its easy on your bobbin thread. Smallest size is 2.97 inches wide at 5,123 stitches. Biggest is 6.34 inches wide at 11,939 stitches. Nine sizes in between. I used this design alot on girls room items and matching sets because it scales up and down without any detail loss, the outline stays clean at every size.

I get messages from people doing bridal and baby stuff with this one pretty regularly. Last month someone used the 4-inch version on a set of matching flower girl sashes and it stitched in under 8 minutes per bow which they were suprised by. Its one of those designs that looks like more work than it actually is. And its also surprisingly versatile, people pop it on everything from kids socks to wedding table runners.

Stitch on white cotton and switch to any pink thread you like, the R242 G77 B143 hot pink in the file is nice but a dusty rose or coral reads really well too if youre customising. Use the smallest 2.97-inch on hat bands, socks, shirt cuffs. Pop the big 6.34-inch as a tote front panel. The outline-only structure means this works on sheer fabrics like organza too, which most embroideries cant do without looking messy underneath, and that opens it up for a lot of bridal projects.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Girls birthday tee bow detailPop the 4-inch size on a girls white cotton birthday tee chest for a simple sweet detail that photographs well.
  • Baby hair accessories fabric backingStitch the small size on a cream cotton oval as backing for a handmade fabric hair clip.
  • Wedding favour bag accent designEmbroider the medium bow on a small organza drawstring bag as a wedding favour holder accent.
  • Sheer organza pouch embroideryUse on sheer organza pouch fabric because the low-density outline stitch wont pull or distort the sheer weave.
  • Cushion cover decorative bowCentre the 6-inch on a pink or cream linen cushion cover as a clean decorative bow accent.
  • Hat band or sock cuff embroiderySew the small 2.97-inch on a hat band or sock cuff for a subtle feminine detail on everyday clothing.
  • Bridesmaid gift bag embroideryStitch the medium size on a satin or cream cotton bridesmaid gift pouch for a wedding gift presentation.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
