Stitched this one as a 2 colour piece, ya got the solid afro woman silhouette on top and the Black Girl Magic lettering worked in below or alongside it. The silhouette has that same round wide afro shape, head slightly lifted, neck long, and the lettering anchors the whole thing and gives it the message. Two colours total, 5 sizes from 2.63 to 5.62 inches wide.
Stitch count runs from nine thousand eighty at from a 3-in chest up to 25,788 at 5.62 inches wide. Density is 612 which is nicely balanced for a 2 colour piece, the silhouette fills solidly and youve got clean satin letter outlines on the wording. The colour contrast between figure and lettering is where the magic is, pick two strong contrasting colours and it really pops.
People have been ordering this one in a bunch of different colour combos, black silhouette with gold lettering is the most popular by far. One customer messaged me last month asking for white silhouette on black with violet text and it looked brilliant honestly. Try your colour combo on a scrap first if youre going unusual with it.
Works on cotton, denim and canvas without issues. Use a cutaway stabiliser for any knit fabric. Pair with a plain background so the wording reads cleanly and doesnt get lost in the fabric pattern.
