Heres a tiara where a single pointed spire shoots straight up out of the middle, and inside that spire youve got three nested teardrop arches stacked smallest at the top and widening as they drop. On either flank, slim scrollwork curls trail down toward a long curving base arc thats a notch thicker than the rest of the outline. Goldenrod thread end to end, satin column work, theres no second colour in the file.

Whole silhouette runs flatter than the princess crown style, follows the natural curve of a headband almost. Reads ballet recital, not birthday bash. Six sizes ship, the 0.8 inch wee option burns 1558 stitches and the 6.5 inch piece lands at 7.2k. Density holds at 323 so smaller scales dont collapse into a thread bird-nest.

My niece had her first ballet showcase back in March and her dance school mum reached out asking if Id stitch something tiara-ish on the prop bag tags. I stitched these at 3 inch on satin ribbon for trophy bows, then bigger ones across the recital totes. Im seeing repeat orders from two other dance studios now, parents saw the bags and got curious.

Run it on navy, deep burgundy, blush satin, charcoal, the gold linework reads like fine wire jewellery on any of those backgrounds. Cream and pale gold fabric kill the design dead, the outline just dissapears into the backdrop. Pop a small 2 inch version on the chest of a dance leotard or scale right up for stage curtain banners.

Hoop satin and silk drum-tight with cutaway behind plus a film topping above, that keeps the fine spire lines riding the surface instead of vanishing into the weft. Plain cotton needs only a tearaway. Youll want to avoid stretchy lycra at small sizes because the scrollwork warps when the fabric flexes back, stick to 4 inch or larger on activewear panels.

What people are using this design for

A starting point. The design works for plenty more than just this list, this is what folks have stitched it onto most.

  • Ballet recital programme covers and tote bagsHooped on a black satin programme cover with the recital date underneath, this feels proper boutique.
  • Dance school leotard chest detailSmall 2 inch version on the chest of a navy leotard suits competition uniform without going OTT.
  • Trophy ribbon and prop bag tagsStitched on satin ribbon strips, this becomes the tag tied to first place trophy bows.
  • Pageant sash badge and crown ribbonCentred on a sash with her title above, this works for pageant queens and homecoming royalty alike.
  • Bridesmaid gift pouches and robe pocketsOn blush satin pouches for the bride tribe, the gold outline catches the morning light beautifully.
  • Quinceanera tee transfers and party favoursWorked at 4 inches on a white tee with her name underneath, sweet quinceanera party giveaway.
  • Vintage hen night satin tote printHen night totes in dusty rose with this tiara plus the bride initials look way classier than party tat.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
