A real fashion-illustration feel to this profile portrait. The silhouette is clean and confident, the afro is a big rounded cloud of near-black thread with just enough wisp detail at the edges that it doesnt look flat, and then the blue headband and yellow hoop earring pop against it nicely. Stitch it on a black tee or a dark canvas tote and the gold earring pops even more than it does on white fabric. Simple 4-color palette but it all hangs together really well.
The face is just a side view, nose and lips and jaw in that warm peachy-orange skin fill. Thats it. No fussy detail trying to stitch eyes or eyelashes. Sometimes the restraint is what makes a design work, and this one realises that. I get messages about this one more than almost any portrait design I sell. One customer stitched it onto a linen tote as a birthday gift last spring and told me the recipient cried. So I think its landing how it should.
Pop it on a tearaway stabiliser for tee shirts and woven fabrics. The satin sections in the hair boundary need clean tension, dont rush those passes. 9 sizes in the file, roughly 3.5 by 3.25 inches up to about 7.5 by 7 inches. Stitch count goes from 8,603 smallest 3.5 inch scaling to 31,400 at the largest. Reach out if you need fabric or stabiliser advice before you run it.

About the artist
Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site
Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.
That's the joy I work for.
The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
