I made this one last september when a customer kept asking me for something fall-themed that wasnt leaves or pumpkins, just words, warm colours, the whole autumn feeling without being too on-the-nose. Thats what this typography piece is. Seven thread colours: burnt orange, rust, golden yellow, olive green, cream, tan, and a deep warm brown that reads almost black. At 3.51 inches wide and 1.49 inches tall it sits flat like a little banner, which honestly makes it alot more versatile than a taller design.

The stitch count is 5,531 and density runs at 164, so this is a lighter piece on the fabric, youre not fighting bulk or stiffness. I digitised it in Wilcom with directional satin fills on the heavier lettering and a tight underlay to keep everything crisp on knits and wovens alike. Stabiliser choice matters here: I'd go cutaway on stretchy cotton-blend hoodies and tearaway for regular quilting cotton. Hop it in a four-by-four hoop and youre done.

And the colour transitions arent flat, theres a slight gradient feel where the warm oranges bleed into the golds, so it reads richer in thread than it looks on screen. I get messages from customers saying it photographs really well on tote bags, which I believe because the colour density is high despite the low stitch count. Pick a light-coloured fabric, ideally cream or natural, so all seven threads read clearly.

Use a 75/11 embroidery needle and a matching bobbin colour to avoid show-through on thin fabrics. Skip dark base fabrics unless youre doing a topping layer, the orange and gold disappear fast against charcoal. Holler at me if the file gives you any trouble with colour sequencing and Ill get you sorted.

About the artist

Reyazul Masud Riham, hand-drawing every design on this site

Every design on Re Embroidery is hand-digitized by one person. Each file gets sketched, color-matched, and stitch-tested on real fabric before it earns a place in the shop. No team. No auto-conversion from images. Just slow, deliberate work, sometimes three or four days per design.

That's the joy I work for.

The hard part is finding my designs re-uploaded and resold elsewhere. So when you buy from Re Embroidery, you're paying one real person for the file you're about to download. That matters.
